Scholars are part of the intellectual sapiens elite. Their role in the city is one of the highest accessible roles, along with that of Protector<\/a>. They have to recover the knowledge lost before the Split<\/a>, according to the directives received by the Sapiens Federator (the Tellus). They also have a secondary role as teachers in schools, as well as a medical role with the population.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Being part of the intellectual elite is not given to everyone. The Scholars <\/strong>take particular care in the education of their offspring, seeking to teach them very young to remain curious, open-minded, as to acquire a mathematical logic. There are also schools of scientific preparation reserved for members of the Knowledge Council<\/strong>, and the other children on file.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nevertheless, it is possible for a child whose parents are not of this caste to succeed in this field. Indeed, it is common knowledge that middle castes pay relatively high prices for private teachers to allow them indirect access to the upper floors. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the age of ten<\/em>, all children, regardless of their social class, pass a competition<\/em>. At the end of this classification, they are referred to a professional academy. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the age of sixteen<\/em>, the future Scholars begin their higher education, as well as the future Protectors, in a dedicated boarding school. They will pass their final assessments between eighteen and twenty years old<\/em> avant d’\u00eatre assign\u00e9s \u00e0 leur \u00e9quipe, et ainsi \u00e0 leur projet de recherche. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Every five years<\/em>, the Scholar defends a Thesis and must demonstrate his expertise, in order to join the very private circle of the Scientific Council's symbol<\/strong> and rise to the rank of Scientist<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
