Physiognomy
Weird merge between a bear and a wild boar, the scrofa has a powerful forequarters and a massive neck. Its large conical skull is provided with several pairs of tusks, the females having only one pair. The split hooves have two characteristic rear guards.
The scrofa feeds mainly on rhizomes, but also on soft wood by scraping the bark of trees, regularly hunting other animals to get its share. Usually, it’s a scavenger.
Juveniles scrofa have two-coloured fur (blonde root, brown tip), mature ones have fawn fur.
Behaviour
The scrofa fiercely defends its territory and allows only females. The males of its species (as of any other) are driven out of his territory, in violence. It is common to fall on a scrofa corpse, horribly mutilated by another, and often half devoured.
The scrofa has a limited intelligence, punctuated by a stupid stubbornness, sometimes suicidal.
Anecdote
