The hero reveals herself/himself in her/his willingness to act... whatever the cost.

It's often said that returning home closes a hero's cycle, that coming home was supposed to be relaxing... but sometimes it's the opposite. This homecoming and the resulting shock, call for action, whatever the cost.

The character here is a common one, with no past and perhaps no future. Shaken in her/his deepest convictions, she/he comes up against the intolerable, and has no choice but to act: flee or fight. This is what will determine who she/he will be: a hero or a coward. Horror drives him to change and become a hero..
