The Watchers The Watchers are part of the elite. They are both hunters and guardians.

Their role in the city is the highest accessible role. They are responsible for maintaining order, distributing resources among the population of Ambrosia. They also have a secondary role in the balance of the surrounding fauna and flora.

They are lead by a Captain, himself appointed by the person linking the power in place (the Imperium) and the military caste : the Commander, right-hand man of the Imperator or Imperatrix in place. The Captain does not wear an ostensible sign, unlike the Commander whose body is adorned with a clear metallic armor and who wields a sword designating him as being close to power.

Access to caste has evolved over time.. The common point between all eras is group education: the future Watchman is trained martial in a dormitory with his comrades, from the age of five. ans.

At the age of ten, he will have to prove himself during Vulkaic Games (formerly «Temple Games») and prove his address. If he succeeds, he will reach the rank of aspirant (novice) and will be assigned a mentor based on his exam results. At sixteen, he will have to pass the Tests before reaching his final status of Watcher. Every three years, the Watchman must prove his worth by participating in the Aitheric Games.

The seal of the Watchers is worn around the neck: a straight blade framed with wings sinks into stylized waves. This symbolism is supposed to bring together three attributes representing Sidhs (the sword for the chtonian Vulkan, the waves for Seiren the nurse and the wings for the wise Aither).
